Celebrating the Completion of the Train-the-Trainer Programme at Delia Momorial School (Glee Path)

We are pleased to mark the successful completion of our Train-the-Trainer Programme at Delia Memorial School (Glee Path).

Over the past weeks, the programme has gone beyond a series of training sessions. It has provided a meaningful platform for growth, reflection, and capacity building. Participants stepped into new roles, challenged assumptions, and developed the confidence and skills needed to support others within their communities.

A key strength of the programme lies not only in the knowledge delivered, but in the depth of engagement demonstrated by participants. This included open and honest conversations about mental health within non-Chinese communities, the fostering of cross-cultural understanding and connection, and the development of peer support practices that continue to evolve. Participants also translated their learning into action by designing advocacy initiatives aimed at promoting mental health awareness.

As the programme concludes, each trained participant becomes part of a growing network of peer trainers. Equipped with empathy, cultural sensitivity, and practical skills, they are well-positioned to extend the programme’s impact to the young people they serve.

This milestone reflects a collective effort and a shared commitment to advancing mental health awareness and support in diverse communities. We look forward to witnessing the continued ripple effects of this work.

Next Steps and Summer Intake

As this cohort of leaders transitions from training into community action, the next Train-the-Trainer intake will be launched this summer. We warmly invite non-Chinese youth who are passionate about mental health advocacy and peer support to register and join the upcoming cohort. Together, we will continue to build a growing youth-led movement for mental wellbeing.
